Facilities
Three large traditional Papuan village stilt bungalows. The bungalows have spacious verandahs that face the sunrise across the strait between Gam and the islands of Kri, Ransiwor and Mansuar. Backing onto mangroves, the bungalows are built over the ocean and are reached by a private boardwalk from the shore. At least one has two rooms.
Ibu Maria is the only budget accommodation place we know of that has a ten seat, covered speedboat (photo at right below). The boat is available for day trips and Ibu Maria can arrange pickups from Waisai or Sorong. Contact Ibu Maria's for prices and bookings.
Jungle walks to see Red Birds of Paradise are possible from Yenwaupnor, and if you come back hungry from one of those, we're told the homestay food (prepared by Ibu Maria's sister who used to cook on cruise ships) is fantastic.

Prices are quoted in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) and are current as of November 2013

We just returned from Raja Ampat, we stayed at Ibu Maria home stay for 5 nights ( October 26-30, 2012) at Yenwaupnor island, the cottage is traditional raja ampat house and above the water, it is clean and ibu Maria is v ery nice lady and the food is yummy althought it is home stay, she can arrange transportation speed boat from Sorong to her place and to go around the surronding Island ibu Maria has her own speed boat with reasonable price to rent. I really enjoy this place and fore sure will return again next year.
